A street improvement project will affect traffic along Winter Park Road for two weeks, starting on Wednesday, July 26, at 7 a.m.
According to a City of Winter Park news release, a resurfacing project by the Public Works & Transportation Department will begin at the Winter Park Road/Glenridge Way intersection, and extend south to the Winter Park city limits.
During the resurfacing, Winter Park Road will be closed with marked detours on Wednesday, July 26. The road will open with adjusted traffic patterns from Thursday, July 27, through Wednesday, August 9.
A City of Winter Park representative also told the32789 that the project will include the installation of speed cushions (marked, rubber speed humps) along the corridor.
The city recently approved a series of safety enhancements for a section of State Road 426, between Osceola and Aloma avenues. Road improvement projects will also be among the items in the city’s five-and-25-year Strategic Capital Plan review, schedule for the July 26 City Commission meeting.
