St. Patrick’s Day Parade Will Prompt Downtown Road Closings

The 43rd Annual Winter Park St. Patrick’s Day Parade, scheduled for this weekend, will prompt road closings on multiple streets in the downtown area.

Set to start at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, the parade will begin at Webster Avenue and continue south along Park Avenue to Lyman Avenue.

The following road closures are scheduled on Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to a City press release:

  • Park Avenue: between Webster and Comstock avenues
  • Webster Avenue: between New York and Park avenues
  • New York Avenue: between Canton and Webster avenues

Side street closings at Park Avenue intersections along the parade route will begin at 1:30 p.m.

Presented by the City’s Community Redevelopment Agency, the parade will feature more than 60 participating groups. After the parade, the Central Park Main Stage will feature live performances including professional Irish dancer Sarah Costello, Tir Na Greine School of Irish Dance, Watters School of Irish Dancing, Finnegan Academy of Irish Dance, and tenor, Michael Daly.
