The Winter Park Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place near Winter Park Village on Monday afternoon, June 28, at the intersection of Denning Drive and Swoope Avenue. According to the WPPD, the shooting was reported at 12:45 p.m.
Two male victims were involved in the shooting. Police are still looking into the incident, but they believe a man exited his vehicle, fired a gun, and fled in his car, reported as an older model silver or gold four door sedan, north on Denning Drive.
One of the individuals shot at was grazed by a bullet and treated at the scene. The other victim was taken to a nearby hospital, but injuries did not appear to be life threatening according to investigators.
An investigation is currently underway, causing a road closure on Denning Drive from Canton Street to Webster Street. No further details about the suspect have been released thus far.
