Beginning Friday, January 15 through Saturday, January 16, the City of Winter Park and the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce’s Economic Recovery Task Force are set to host a socially distanced Festivities Weekend featuring extended shopping and dining areas. During this event, participating restaurants and retailers will be able to accommodate more customers on sidewalk and street space thanks to planned road closures.

Scheduled road closures are as follows:

4 p.m. Friday, January 15 until midnight on Saturday, January 16:

  • Park Avenue - from West Canton to Fairbanks avenues
  • Morse Boulevard - from South Knowles to South New York avenues
  • Lincoln and East Welbourne Avenues – from Center Street to South Park Avenue

4 p.m. to midnight on Friday, January 15 and Saturday, January 16:

  • New England Avenue – from South Virginia to South Pennsylvania avenues

This event was planned to help participating businesses in their continued recovery from the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The City and Economic Recovery Task Force intend to hold additional road closure weekends on February 12-13, March 19-20, and April 2-3.

For convenient public parking locations during the downtown Winter Park road closures, check the online parking map. Face masks, social distancing of six feet or more, and hand washing/sanitizing are expected.
