Winter Park Residents Encouraged to Recycle Election Signs

As this year’s state and national political campaigns have come to an end, The City of Winter Park’s Sustainability Program is partnering with the League of Women Voters of Orange County Natural Resources Committee to recycle election signs.

The following is a list of locations where Winter Park residents can drop off their signs and stands through Sunday, November 22.

  • Cady Way Park: 2525 Cady Way
  • Community Garden at Mead Botanical Garden: 1300 S. Denning Drive
  • Winter Park Fire-Rescue Station 64: 1439 Howell Branch Road

This recycling initiative is meant to prevent an abundance of yard signs in the local landfill. Instead, the signs will be repurposed to generate electricity at Cemex, a large regional cement manufacturer.
