Seattle-based Storyville Coffee will request conditional use approval for a Winter Park location next door to the Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation headquarters.
A notice on the city website states that Winter Park’s Z Properties Group, Inc. will present a proposal for a three-story, 11,280-square-foot building at 111 S. Knowles Ave. during the April 2 Planning & Zoning Board meeting and at the April 24 City Commission meeting. According to the notice, a retail/restaurant/coffee shop concept will occupy the first floor while the second floor will house office space and one residential unit will occupy the building’s third floor.
The proposed building, zoned C2 Commercial, would replace the two-story property at the same address, which also contains the former home of The Imperial Winter Park. The popular furnishings retailer/live music spot ended its five-year run at 170 E. Morse Blvd. in October but will reopen at a new Park Avenue address this summer.
Storyville Coffee operates two locations in the Seattle area and its artisan line of coffee and accessories are available online. The company’s roasting studio in Bainbridge Island, Washington recently closed. Storyville Coffee and Z Properties Group, Inc. did not respond to requests for comment.
The April 2 Planning & Zoning Board meeting will take place at 6 p.m. and the April 24 City Commission meeting will begin at 3:30 p.m. Both meetings will be held in City Commission Chambers on the second floor of Winter Park City Hall. Additional information will be made available in the Planning & Zoning Board meeting agenda packet, available on March 26. The agendas, meeting information, and registration for online access is available at cityofwinterpark.org/meetings.
