The sounds of school spirit will fill Park Avenue beginning at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28, as bands from Kansas State and North Carolina State take part in the Pop Tarts Bowl Parade of Bands. Hundreds of spectators are expected for the event, which will precede the Pop-Tarts Bowl at 5:45 p.m. at Camping World Stadium.

The parade will begin by the intersection of Park and Lyman avenues with marching musicians, cheerleaders and mascots making their way north to Garfield Avenue. The bands will proceed into Central Park where they will perform the “Bandtastic Game Day Preview.”

The following roads will be closed at the following times:

  • 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Park Avenue between Comstock and Canton avenues; Morse Boulevard between Center Street and New York Avenue; Garfield Avenue will be closed entirely.
  • 9:30 to 11 a.m. – Interlachen Avenue between Fairbanks and New England avenues (bus staging area); Lyman Avenue between Park and Interlachen avenues (band staging area)

The Pop-Tarts Bowl is operated by Florida Citrus Sports, which also manages the Camping World Kickoff, Cheez-It Citrus Bowl, and the Florida Blue Florida Classic.
