New Park Avenue Retailer, EVEREVE, Celebrates Grand Opening

After EVEREVE announced in May that the women’s fashion retailer would open in the 3,200-square-foot Park Avenue retail space previously occupied by Gap, construction delays ultimately postponed its store’s unveiling, until now. In celebration of its Winter Park opening, EVEREVE is inviting Park Avenue shoppers to a fun, “partylike” shopping experience from Wednesday, August 11, to Sunday, August 15, in its new retail space on the corner of Park and Lyman Avenues, at 400 S. Park Ave. 

On August 11 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., shoppers are welcomed to attend an in-store party hosted by Kelley McCoy and other Instagram influencers. The party will include food from Tessa’s Table, wine, a drawing for a surprise giveaway, and the chance to meet Kimberly Ritzer, EVEREVE’s vice president of stores and founding leader.

The party will be the only “true event” of the weekend, but EVEREVE will offer shoppers 15% off the entire store, along with complimentary water, sparkling water, iced coffee, and treats during their shopping experience through August 15.

As part of its Winter Park debut, attendees will be welcomed to EVEREVE this weekend by all 10 part-time employees and EVEREVE’s assistant manager, Mary-Kait Winstead, however, the team is still looking to bring on more Winter Park hands to assist with styling in the shop. With renovation of the store now complete, shoppers can expect a sleek, clean, and modern space designed with room to shop and an abundance of natural light.

Founded in 2004, EVEREVE co-CEO Megan Tamte, was inspired to open the business after struggling to find joy in shopping as a new mom, so she and her husband, co-CEO and founder Michael (Mike) Tamte, made it their mission to create a space for women to not only find clothes they like, but also enjoy their shopping experience.

Madison Wetmiller, EVEREVE store manager, moved to Winter Park in May after falling for the charm and close-knit atmosphere of the community. According to Wetmiller, EVEREVE’s mission to make every individual feel welcomed and the store’s connection-based approach to women’s fashion retail is already receiving support and a “fantastic response” from the community and curious visitors.

“I’m most excited about sharing our styling experience with everyone who comes through our doors as well as building a community that misses no one,” Wetmiller said. “It’s our product as well as our experience of learning about our customer’s lifestyle, body type and style that creates the magic of connection. We seek to create meaningful relationships with our customers, and we do that through our styling experience.”

According to Wetmiller, EVEREVE’s day-to-day goal is to create a healthy, fun shopping experience for customers, however, its occasional fashion fundraisers are a “strong and successful way to bring people together to support a common mission.” Wetmiller and the EVEREVE team in Winter Park aim to include some local businesses and charities in future events.

“A fashion fundraiser is a two-hour event in our store where everyone gets their own stylist and 15% of the total sales go towards the host’s charity/nonprofit,” Wetmiller said. “The energy of these events is unmatched and [the events] are a great way to show people our brand who haven’t shopped with us before. I’m hoping we can partner with people in the community who are passionate about a particular charity/nonprofit.”

Based in Edina, Minnesota, EVEREVE is best known in northern states where most of its stores are located, but the team is looking forward to expanding to new regions following a year that was tough on retail. In addition to its new Winter Park concept, EVEREVE also opened stores in Franklin, Tennessee, and Newport Beach, California, just this month.

“There’s something different and powerful about what we do at EVEREVE,” Wetmiller said. “With our company values of humility, empathy, authenticity, relationship, and tenacity, we [are able to] hear our customers stories and find ways to impact people through fashion. We’re incredibly excited to be here and share what we do with Winter Park.”
