The Wildcats came into the championship with a No. 1 state ranking by MaxPreps and were No. 2 in the FHSAA power rankings. It was the Wildcats second state championship since 2022, when the team made the No. 18 spot on the USA Today/American Volleyball Coaches Association boys volleyball Super 25.
Next month, local athletes will step back into the spotlight when the Women’s Varsity 8 boat returns the U.K. to represent Winter Park Crew at the 2024 Henley Royal Regatta, July 2-7.
