Winter Park Library will combine romance with an element of surprise for this year’s Love Your Library Gala at Winter Park Library and Events Center, happening Saturday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m. The masquerade-themed event, presented by AdventHealth, will celebrate community and culture while acting as the nonprofit’s largest annual fundraiser.
“After the success of last year’s 1920’s speakeasy theme, we wanted to offer our guests a different and equally enchanting experience,” said Director of Community Engagement Jody Lazar.
Guests will have the opportunity to explore the library while Classern Quartet provides an evening of enchanting music. The Leonard Brothers Band will be the main attraction in the events center, where guests can enjoy a Bubbly Bar, custom silhouettes, a “vogue tunnel” photo booth, and the “Masked Feast” courtesy of Arthur’s Catering and Events. A silent auction will include dining and shopping experiences from Winter Park restaurants and retailers, and a Moke raffle will be open to everyone throughout the community.
All event proceeds will benefit library operations, provide materials, and help make programming and classes possible. Its state-of-the-art offerings include:
- A 100+ seat theatre
- Flex workspaces and a business center
- Recording studio
- Computer lab and makerspace with 3D printers
- Temperature-controlled archive conservation room
“Since moving to this new location, we’ve experienced significant growth in engagement and attendance,” Lazar said, citing a 22% increase in visits, 44% increase in materials borrowed, and an 81% increase in class/event attendance. “These statistics underscore the growing support and enthusiasm within our community for the Winter Park Library and its offerings.”
The Moke raffle is open to everyone. The winning ticket will be pulled at the event and the winner does not need to be present. Additional details, ticket information and purchases are available at winterparklibrary.org/gala.
