Winter Park Chamber Celebrates 100 Years with Awards and a Concert

Share This:

The Winter Park Chamber celebrated its centennial year in style on the evening of Nov. 2 with the Best of Winter Park awards at Central Park. Not only were local businesses honored, but attendees were treated to outstanding performances on the Main Stage by opening act Sisters Mann and event headliners Boys Like Girls, who married classic hits with new chart-toppers.

The Chamber’s journey began in 1887 as the Winter Park Improvement Association with the intent of enhancing community spirit. By 1923, its vision and title transformed into what is now known as the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber drives economic growth, builds local partnerships, and hosts events that promote businesses and the local community at large. The mission remains clear: to unite, guide, and inspire. Earlier this year, the Chamber was honored with the prestigious ranking of a top 3 National Chamber of the Year by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives.

The annual Best of Winter Park event includes awards in 50 categories. Notable winners from this year’s list include The Alfond Inn as Best Event Venue, Fannie Hillman + Associates as Best Commercial Real Estate Firm, and the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival as Best Place to Enjoy Art.
