The City of Winter Park is advising residents and commuters that traffic on Winter Park Road will be affected for one week beginning Monday, Oct. 9, as the last phase of a street improvement project is completed.
The installation of curbs by the speed cushions will begin at 7 a.m. Monday and is scheduled to be completed by Friday, Oct. 13, at 5 p.m. Winter Park Road will remain open with lane closures during the installation, and flaggers will be present to guide the flow of traffic.
Improvements to Winter Park Road began in July with a resurfacing project and the installation of speed cushions by the Public Works & Transportation Department. Weather may be a factor in the project timeline and residents are advised to check the City of Winter Park website for possible scheduling changes.
