Park Avenue will become the city’s largest “green” space as the Rotary Club of Winter Park and the Community Redevelopment Agency present the 44th Annual Winter Park St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday, March 5.

The parade will begin at 2 p.m., starting at the intersection of Park and Webster Avenues and proceeding south to Lyman Avenue. More than 60 organizations and businesses will participate, and Meredith McDonough of WESH 2 News will serve as this year’s Grand Marshal. The post-parade celebration will include Irish music and step-dancers on the Central Park Main Stage.

The following road closures are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the day of the parade:

  • Park Avenue between Webster and Comstock Avenues
  • Webster Avenue between New York and Park Avenues
  • New York Avenue between Canton and Webster Avenues

Additional event sponsors are Fiddler’s Green Irish Pub & Eatery, Florida Distributing Company, Irish American Cultural Society of Central Florida, and Yuengling Brewery.

The Rotary Club of Winter Park is part of Rotary International; a service organization with more than 1.4 million members in 34,000 clubs that are represented in 200 countries. For more information, go to winterparkrotary.com.
