Music fans will delight in the sounds of Opera Orlando’s Summer Concert Series at the University Club of Winter Park, located at 841 N. Park Ave. The concert series is scheduled for August 14, 21, and 28. Shows begin at 2 p.m. each day.
The three consecutive series dates will highlight the return of sopranos from past seasons. The concerts will offer an exciting, diverse selection of songs and duets from sopranos. Following the concerts’ finales, guests can enjoy wine and light hors d’oeuvres during the reception while socializing with artists from Opera Orlando.
The concerts scheduled will include:
- Sunday, August 14 – (DIS)REPUTABLE: the good, bad, and questionable women of the stage features Metropolitan Opera soprano Emily Pulley focusing on a range of notable female characters, from ordinary to noble, featuring Ammon Perry Bratt on piano
- Sunday, August 21 – A STAR TURN: from opera to Broadway features soprano Kyaunnee Richardson as she collaborates with pianist Chevalier Lovett, to present a lively performance of arias and showtunes
- Sunday, August 28 – SHE GOES HIGH, HE GOES LOW features soprano Susan Hellman Spatafora as she joins bass vocalist Andrew W. Potter with accompaniment from pianist Robin Stamper to deliver a dynamic sound
