Winter Park-based Full Sail University recently announced that it has joined the Orlando/Central Florida chapter of the VR/AR Association (VRARA) as it continues to offer cutting-edge opportunities for education within the Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality (VR/AR) space.

This news comes on the heels of Full Sail’s announcement of plans for a new $3 million virtual production studio that will feature Unreal Engine, a real-time 3D creation tool used for photoreal visuals and immersive experiences.

According to a Full Sail press release, the VR/AR Association is a global industry association that strives to offer a connected local and global community of members through its initiatives, including industry committees, educational resources, and networking opportunities via local chapters.

“Having Full Sail University as a member of the Orlando/Central Florida chapter is a testament to their continued commitment to pushing the tech industry forward,” VRARA Orlando Chapter President John Cunningham said in the press release.
