Winter Park-based Ruth’s Hospitality Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: RUTH), parent company to Ruth’s Chris Steak House, announced last week that Michael O’Donnell, the company’s current executive chairman, will retire effective December 9, 2020. O’Donnell served as executive chairman for two years. Prior to that, he served as CEO of Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse for 10 years.
In a press release, O’Donnell stated, “It’s been a privilege to serve as Executive Chair of Ruth’s Chris for the past two years. The Company has grown and flourished, and despite recent challenges posed by COVID-19, I have total confidence that Cheryl Henry and the senior team will execute its recovery plan and continue to build our iconic, resilient brand.”
O’Donnell will remain a member of the board of directors for the company. In addition, O’Donnell is a member of the Rollins College Board of Trustees.
