Changes Coming at Two Park Ave. Eateries

New Year’s Eve diners at 310 Park South witnessed the end of an era as the 26-year-old establishment hosted its final service. The closing, announced in a December 28th social media post, was less about the economic hardships that last year claimed several local restaurants and more about making way for a new concept.

“It needs a change; to be gutted and rebranded and I really don’t have the help or the time to do it,” owner Joanne McMahon told the32789. “Someone approached me and was interested in the space, and I thought it was a really good opportunity.”

310 Park South was under McMahon’s JM Hospitality group, which also parents Park Avenue’s Blu on the Avenue, BoVine Steakhouse, and Vintage Vault wine boutique, formerly the Partridge Tree Gift Shop. McMahon said the staff will have a place at JM’s other restaurants and while not at liberty to detail the 310 acquisition, she said the new owners “have a really good concept in place” and the new venue will be “a good fit for the community.”

Meanwhile, McMahon is planning changes at BoVine Steakhouse with new hours and menu additions. JM Hospitality opened BoVine in 2020 at the former Park Plaza Gardens location. Dishes focus on locally sourced produce and high-quality meats and seafood, but the dinner-only format will be expanded.

Starting this month, “Breakfast, Burgers and Boards” will run between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. with breakfast, lunch, and charcuterie options. “We’ll close at 3 p.m. and open for dinner at 4 p.m. That should start in another week,” McMahon said.

The dining landscape on Park Avenue will continue to grow in 2025 as John Washburn and chef Drew Weisner prepare to reopen The Imperial at 136 S. Park Ave. in late January/early February. And The Glass Knife is also working toward the springtime unveiling of a second location at 212 Park Ave.
