Winter Park Requests Resident Input for Strategic Planning Session

City commissioners and management team members have scheduled a strategic planning session for Thursday, June 27, to identify priorities and develop support measures for citywide improvements and new projects for the next five to 10 years. And residents can help make the agenda.

The public is being asked to share input, via a brief online survey, that will be used to guide the conversation. The survey covers several topics from city services to the prioritization of resources and can be accessed here.

Ongoing projects include basin studies, currently under way to aid in stormwater improvement plans. The City also shared updates on street repairs and the Center Street improvement project. And City Commissioners at their May 22 meeting approved an expanded holiday budget and the hiring of an urban design advisor to oversee consistency in new building projects.

“The (session) agenda is still being created,” said City Communications Director Clarissa Howard. “The survey will help the Commission come up with discussion points.”

Those who live or work within the Winter Park city limits are asked to complete the survey by 5 p.m. Monday, June 17. For more information, log onto cityofwinterpark.org.
