The Winter Park Playhouse will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a brand-new series of six productions. The 2022-23 season will include crowd favorites from the theatre’s history featuring new casts, choreography, and sets.
The Anniversary Series will kick off on the playhouse main stage with “Murder for Two” which will run from August 5-28.
Since premiering in 2011, “Murder for Two” has been a crowd-pleasing favorite mixing traditional musical comedy and zany mystery in a blended thriller filled with music and chaos. The show features one actor as the inspector while the other actor portrays 13 suspects.
The playhouse adaptation will present prominent local actor Kevin Kelly together with well-known Boston actor Jared Troilo. The production will also showcase the talents of Sam Forrest on percussion, Christopher Leavy as music director, and Playhouse Artistic Director Roy Alan as director and choreographer.
Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m. with matinees on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and select matinees on Wednesday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

Founded in 2002 and located at 711 N. Orange Ave., the Winter Park Playhouse is a nonprofit, professional musical theatre that offers patrons an up-close-and-personal experience. The theatre is affiliated with Actors’ Equity Association and offers year-round programming in addition to providing outreach programs for underserved children and senior citizens in Winter Park.
