Winter Park Hosting Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off for Residents

Winter Park residents are invited to dispose of chemical and electronics items they no longer use during the City of Winter Park Sustainability Program’s Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off on Saturday, April 23, from 8 a.m. to noon.

The event is only for the collection of household items from the residents of Winter Park. Anyone wishing to participate must bring a driver’s license or utility bill statement as proof of city residency.

Items will be collected in the parking lot by the intersection of Palmetto Avenue and Denning Drive. All hazardous waste materials must be kept in original containers with original labeling, unknown items will not be accepted.

Household hazardous waste items will be collected by representatives from Waste Pro, acceptable items are as follows:

Electronics waste items will be collected by representatives from A1 Assets, Inc., acceptable items are as follows:

Anyone wishing to drop off drugs and prescription medications can do so at the Public Safety Facility, 500 N. Virginia Ave., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
