Just in time for the holidays, the new SpringHill Suites Marriott hotel at 1127 N. Orlando Ave. is opening in Winter Park’s Ravaudage development next week on December 8. According to a recent press release, Sydgan Corporation and RLH Construction, LLC will host a grand opening for invited guests to peek behind the scenes at the new hotel’s luxury amenities, spacious suites, vibrant lobbies, and more.

Specializing in large-scale development, Sydgan Corporation Owner Dan Bellows and RLH Construction, LLC Owner Richard Haines started the construction process approximately a decade ago when Ravaudage received full entitlements back in 2011. Following a year of COVID-19-related construction delays, Haines says he feels honored to “keep the building as part-owner and see the successes beyond completion.”

Reservations are available online for the new hotel, which is conveniently located just a short walk away from various shops, restaurants, and other well-known businesses in Winter Park. Native to the area, Bellows and Haines are familiar with its history and credit former Winter Park hotels for creating the opportunity to provide more hotel rooms for community members.

“The Seminole, The Alabama, and The Langford are just a few of the hotels that made Winter Park unique,” Bellows said. “However, over the years the Seminole burn[ed] to the ground, the Alabama converted to condos and the Langford was demolished. The Winter Park community simply needed more hotel rooms, and Ravaudage was just the place to provide the land area and usage.”
