The Ravenous Pig, a popular Winter Park eatery best known for providing an American Gastropub experience, recently opened up a new space to guests at their Fairbanks Avenue location. Nestled between the restaurant and The Ravenous Pig Brewing Co., the brand’s very own brewery and taproom, there is now an outdoor beer garden, a concept the team has been dreaming up since the establishment of sister restaurant Cask & Larder, now located in the Orlando International Airport.

The beer garden, outfitted with plenty of seating and umbrella coverage, offers ample space for events.

The beer garden is an outdoor area featuring plenty of seating at picnic-style tables, umbrella coverage, and space for games including shuffleboard and corn hole. Guests can order any of the brewery’s nearly twenty house made beers on tap as well as a selection of wines and cocktails. For food, guests can order from a limited menu outfitted specifically for easy outdoor eating. Offerings from the beer garden can be viewed online.

The Ravenous Pig plans to rent the space to private parties and use it for events planned by its own team. “We have a lot of ideas for what we can do out there like trivia, live music, [and] movie screenings,” said Aubrey Waters, front of house manager and event coordinator for The Ravenous Pig. The team is also working on finalizing a food truck, to be dubbed “The Ravenous Rig,” that will be stationed permanently in the beer garden and offer an expanded selection of food and drinks.

“Really, there is nowhere else in town like it, it’s exactly where I and most of our staff would be hanging out on our days off,” Waters said. “It’s a one-of-a-kind outside atmosphere. It’s really laidback and you’re getting quality food and beverages.”

While it can accommodate over 100 people, the beer garden will be operating at around a 60-person maximum capacity during COVID-19 to ensure easy social distancing between parties. The beer garden opens at 4 p.m. from Tuesday through Friday and at noon on Saturdays and Sundays, with an early 4 p.m. close on Sundays. Happy hour is offered in the beer garden from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
