On June 29, the Winter Park Police Department responded to a single-vehicle crash that occurred at the intersection of Denning Drive and Webster Avenue at approximately 5:30 p.m. The driver, who was identified as Curtis Lamar Johnson, had sustained serious injuries and died en route to the hospital. Upon further investigation, however, officers concluded that Johnson was instead the victim of a homicide.
Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, the Winter Park Police Department could not comment on the case but stated that detectives are currently working to identify a suspect.
