A petition to save Winter Park restaurants was launched on change.org last weekend by local resident Eric Mason. The stated goal of the petition is to “pedestrianize Park Avenue every weekend evening,” after the stay-at-home order in Orange County is lifted. Should the petition pass, restaurants along Park Avenue would be able to set up tables on the brick pavers and throughout the park, allowing them to serve guests six feet apart in an open area, ideal for maintaining social distancing requirements.
